个人简介
卢从明,博士,教授,博士生导师,1998年度中国科学院“百人计划”入选者,2007年度国家“杰出青年基金”获得者。1986年与1989年获江苏农学院学士学位和硕士学位,1993年获中国科学院植物研究所博士学位。1994至1999年,先后在以色列本古里安大学、香港浸会大学以及英国伦敦大学国王学院从事博士后研究。2000年至2018年任中国科学院植物研究所研究员,2018年起任im体育农业大学教授。曾任中国科学院植物研究所光合作用研究中心主任(2002-2011),中国科学院光生物学重点实验室主任(2011-2018),中国科学院大学岗位教授,中国植物学会秘书长、常务理事,中国植物生理学会理事等职务。兼任《im体育》、《im体育》、《Journal of Integrative Plant Biology》等刊物编委。主要从事光合作用功能调控分子机理及作物分子设计育种研究。在Cell, Nature Plants, Advanced Science, PNAS, Molecular Plant, Plant Cell等学术期刊上发表论文100余篇。

研究方向
光合作用是地球上最重要的化学反应,它通过利用光能将二氧化碳和水合成为有机物并释放氧气,从而为几乎所有的生命活动提供有机物、能量和氧气。当今人类面临的粮食、能源与环境等问题都与光合作用密切相关。基于光合作用的重要性,光合作用机理研究一直受到国际社会的高度重视,成为自然科学研究的核心之一,也是im体育研究的前沿领域和热点之一。光合作用机制研究将为提高作物光能利用效率和开辟太阳能利用的新途径提供理论依据,从而促进和推动农业和能源科学与技术的发展及新兴产业的形成。本实验室通过光谱学、植物生理学、生物化学、分子遗传学、合成生物学以及基因组学等多学科原理与技术,以拟南芥、玉米和小麦等为主要研究对象,针对光合作用功能调控分子机制,开展以下几方面的工作:
1.光合系统功能调控机制
光能吸收、传递与转化是在光合膜上一系列超级蛋白复合物上进行的,其中光系统I和光系统II在能量转化过程中起着非常重要的作用。通过光系统I和光系统II功能缺陷突变体的筛选,发现参与它们功能维持和调控的关键蛋白因子,揭示它们在基因转录、转录后加工、翻译、复合物组装等不同水平上参光系统I和光系统II功能调控的分子机制。
2. 叶绿体基因组及其功能
叶绿体不仅是光合作用的场所,也是许多重要次生代谢物的合成场所和感知外界环境变化的感受器。叶绿体是一个半自主细胞器,其基因功能的实现是光合作用与植物发育实现的基础。通过筛选叶绿体发育缺陷突变体与高通量组学技术,揭示叶绿体基因功能调控网络。
3. 光合作用环境适应机理
植物生长发育常常受到环境因子的制约,导致植物生长缓慢和作物产量下降。环境胁迫使光合作用大幅度降低。但是,植物能够通过一系列的适应机制来保护和维持光合功能。通过筛选光合作用对环境胁迫敏感和抗性增加的突变体,发掘重要的调控基因,阐释光合作用环境适应的分子基础。
4. 作物光合作用分子设计育种
光合作用是作物产量形成的物质基础,改善作物光能利用效率是作物产量进一步提高的关键途径之一。以作物光能高效利用和重要农艺性状基因/分子模块挖掘为基础,通过分子设计育种、基因编辑以及合成生物学技术,培育光能利用效率显著提高的高产优质作物新品种和新种质。
